Astir Thira Hotel

A small decent family run hotel in Thira lived upto our expectations .The location was exceptionally good , with a good view of the sea and its close proximity to the Fira main market. Ana and Alma at the front desk were exceptionally helpful and provided us with all necessary informations. Thanks a lot . The property and the swimming pool was clean and we enjoyed our stay with the good breakfast provided

Having a master's degree in hospitality management and working in the hotel industry, I can confidently say that Astir Thira Hotel is a stunning hotel that exceeds expectations. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. The rooms are beautiful, featuring a mix of modern and traditional decor. They are impeccably clean and wonderfully scented. Kudos to the housekeeping staff, who are diligent, incredibly friendly, and always smiling. The reception staff is fantastic. Anastasia was incredibly sweet and attentive regarding breakfast. I have celiac disease and forgot to notify the hotel about my need for a gluten-free breakfast, but she immediately found a solution and took care of everything. This is particularly noteworthy as finding gluten-free food in Fira is quite challenging, even in supermarkets. The breakfast offered a wide variety of sweet and savory options (I particularly loved the blackberry jam – highly recommended). Alma was very accommodating and friendly, answering all my questions and curiosities about the island. These two young women were truly exceptional. I must also mention Dimitris, who was always smiling and ready to help with any need. The staff here is outstanding. The pool is clean and quite large, providing a relaxing environment. The entire ambiance of the hotel is serene and calming. The hotel is super central, so even returning late at night is not a problem, and there is a free parking lot just a bit further ahead. Overall, Astir Thira Hotel is an outstanding hotel where my boyfriend and I felt welcomed and comfortable. We will gladly return! I would give Astir Thira Hotel a solid 5 out of 5 stars. We’re so happy to have picked the Astir Thira Hotel. Easy to get to and close to the local bars and restaurants. Huge shout out to the staff, everyone we spoke to were friendly and happy to help with anything we needed. With 24 hour service available, staff were always there to help with a smile. Visiting for a 30th Birthday celebration they happily got involved with arranging some decorations and taking pictures for us to remember the occasion. The breakfast had lots of options and the room was great, very clean and comfortable. The pool area was beautiful and relaxing. We can’t wait to visit again. A must stay.

The staff were amazing! We booked the volcano room, however when we arrived late the only room available was the pool view room, which was lovely. This was fine with us, apart from the price difference. The next day the lovely manager offered to move us, we preferred the pool room as it was quieter. The manager continued to offer compensation for us. Found us another room, they went above and beyond to make up for the room mistake, even doing our laundry! In the end we were by far financially better off. Highly recommend this lovely place, it’s only a 5 min walk to everything.
